New Public Transportation System Piloted

Copenhagen, Denmark, is testing a new train system. It has electric buses and even bike rentals. This system is designed to cut down on traffic and pollution.

City workers are watching how it works closely. They believe these new ways to travel are important for cleaner cities. People will likely get around much easier.

Talking point: How do you think new inventions can help us in our daily lives?

Language tip: We use the passive voice when the action is more important than who did it. For example, in the story, "This system is designed" means someone designed it, but the important part is the design itself. We use "is" or "was" with a "doing" word (like "designed" or "made").
